Yu-Ting Chen is a second violin with The Philadelphia Orchestra, a position she has held since 2017; at the 2016 Menuhin Competition, Yu-Ting won Third Prize and the Bartók Prize. A Curtis Institute graduate, she studied with Ida Kavafian and Shmuel Ashkenasi, with previous teachers including Chun-Yinh Lee and I-Ching Li. As a soloist, she made her debut at the age of seven with the National Taiwan Symphony, and went on to perform with notable ensembles in prestigious halls, such as the Royal Festival Hall, Duke’s Hall in London, the Macau Cultural Center, the HOTA—Home of the Arts in Australia, the BHS Performing Arts Center and more.
