Johnny Gandelsman is a Grammy Award-winning violinist and producer, prize winner at the 1991 Menuhin Competition. Founder of In A Circle Records, he has produced and published critically acclaimed work in contemporary classical music. As a founding member of Brooklyn Rider and a member of the Silk Road Ensemble, Johnny has pushed the boundaries between genres in experimental records and performances. The list of musicians and artists he has collaborated with includes names ranging from Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Yo-Yo Ma and Shlomo Mintz, to John Zorn, Bono, David Byrne, Nico Muhly and more. He studied with Maya Glezarova, Felix Andrievsky and Schlomo Mintz, and at the Curtis Insitute with Jascha Brodsky and Arnold Steinhardt.
