Wen-Lei Gu is the Associate Professor of Music at Lawrence University and an accomplished soloist. A winner of the Second Prize at the 1991 Menuhin Competition, Wen-Lei received her bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School, a master’s from the Mannes College of Music, and a doctorate from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her teachers include Miriam Fried, Ida Kavafian, Sally Thomas, Dorothy Delay, Yaoji Lin, Felix Galimir, Menaham Pressler, and Janos Starker. As a soloist and recitalist, she has performed in distinguished venues all over the world, such as the Berliner Philharmonie, Smetana Hall, La Sala Verdi, Beijing Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center.
