SooBeen Lee

SooBeen Lee began studying the violin at age four. She has won prizes at major competitions such as the 2012 Menuhin Competition, the 2013 Oistrakh Competition, the 2022 Indianapolis Competition and the 2023 Concours musical international de Montréal. She currently studies with Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory. SooBeen has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Detroit Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony and Rockford Symphony. Her festival appearances include the Heifetz Music Festival, Chopin Music Festival, City of London Festival, Busan International Music Festival and Japan’s Ishikawa Summer Music Academy. SooBeen plays a Giuseppe Guadagnini Cremona 1794 on loan from Kumho Cultural Foundation.
