Acclaimed as one of the most outstanding Chinese violinists of his generation, Siqing Lü has performed some of the world’s most famous concert halls in more than forty countries throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia. Siqing has collaborated with many of the world’s leading musicians including Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Lawrence Foster, Jaap van Zweden, Leonard Slatkin and Yu Long, and with many of the world’s leading orchestras. After studying with Sheng Zhongguo, Siqing was invited by Sir Yehudi Menuhin to the Menuhin School aged 11, and was subsequently a prize winner in the inaugural Menuhin Competition in 1983. He continues to collaborate with the Menuhin School to this day, having been named president of the new Qingdao Campus.
