Simon Zhu

Simon Zhu's remarkable successes include top prizes at international competitions (2016 Telemann Competition, 2021 Menuhin Competition, 2023 Paganini Competition), performances with renowned orchestras including the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, and scholarships such as the German Music Foundation. He has performed around the world in countries including China, Korea, Germany and the UK. He currently studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Professor Ana Chumachenco, as well as with Ning Feng. Simon plays a Zosimo Bergonzi violin, circa 1760, on generous loan from the Stretton Society.
