Saki Shirokoji is a prize winner at the 2002 Menuhin Competition. A graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Bern University of the Arts, she studied under Seiko Ishikawa, Koichiro Harada, Michiko Kamiya, Asako Urushibara, Tianwa Yang, and Jörg-Wolfgang Jahn. As violinist and viola player of the European-based Delirium Ensemble, she has premiered works by Casper Johannes Walter and many other composers at the Warsaw Autumn and other events. In Switzerland, she has participated in projects organized by the experimental music group “Pakt Bern”, and has taken master classes with Simon Steen-Andersen and performed in his concerts.
