Chamber Music Prize

Otto Antikainen is the winner of the Chamber Music Prize at the 2018 Menuhin Competition. He has appeared both as a soloist and a chamber musician with many renowned orchestras in his native Finland and at festivals in Europe, sharing the stage with performers such as Ilya Gringolts, Nicholas Collon, Torleif Thedéen, Marko Ylönen and Réka Szilvay. Otto has studied at the Sibelius Academy with Réka Szilvay, in Berlin with Antje Weithaas and at the Violin Academy with Janne Malmivaara, Elina Vähälä and Ilja Grubert. He plays on a 1760 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, on loan from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
