Mayuko Kamio is an acclaimed soloist and a prize winner at the 1998 Menuhin Competition. She has performed under the batons of such illustrious conductors as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Charles Dutoit, Iván Fischer, François-Xavier Roth, Jiri Belohlavek and Ludovic Morlot, playing for renowned orchestras all over the world. She studied with Zakhar Bron in Zurich, Dorothy Delay and Masao Kawasaki at the Juilliard School, Koichiro Harada at the Toho Gakuen School, and with Chikako Satoya, Machie Oguri and Chihiro Kudo. Mayuko's recordings have been released under Sony and BMG. She plays on the 1735 "Sennhauser" Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu, kindly offered by the Strad Society in Chicago.
