Marta Abraham is a violin professor at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, and the concertmaster and artistic leader of the Abraham Consort chamber orchestra. A prize winner at the 1993 Menuhin Competition, Marta studied with Ruggiero Ricci and David Takeno. As a soloist, she has appeared with leading orchestras and played under the baton of conductors such as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Tamás Vásáry, Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro, Helmuth Rilling and Zoltán Kocsis. She held posts as concertmaster of the Hungarian Radio Orchestra and the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, and worked as a guest leader with orchestras internationally.
