Joji Hattori is an accomplished soloist, conductor and entrepreneur. He is the Artistic Director of the Vienna Opernsommer Belvedere, President of Musica Juventutis Austria, a member of the board of the Fondation Concours Menuhin in Geneva, and an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music in London. Joji won Fourth Prize at the Menuhin Competition in 1987 and the First Prize, the Bach Prize and the Audience Prize in 1989 after which he became of protegé of Sir Yehudi Menuhin. As conductor, he studied with Lorin Maazel, and was Principal Guest Conductor of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra for over a decade until 2024. Throughout the years, he worked with many distinguished orchestras worldwide.
