Johan Dalene began playing the violin at the age of four and made his concerto debut three years later. He has received top accolades including Third Prize at the 2016 Menuhin Competition, First Prize at the 2019 Carl Nielsen Competition and Gramophone's 2022 Young Artist of the Year. He has an exclusive recording contract with Bis, having released his third album in 2022. He has acted as Artist-in-Residence with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Gavle Symphony and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, working with conductors such as Andrew Manze, Jaime Martin and Domingo Hindoyan, as well as presenting chamber music projects. Johan plays the 1725 ‘Duke of Cambridge’ Stradivarius, generously on loan from the Anders Sveaas’ Charitable Foundation.
