Ji Won Song is a prize winner at the 2010 Menuhin Competition and a sought-after soloist, playing with orchestras such as The Philadelphia Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Montreal Symphony, Belgium National Orchestra, and major orchestras in her native South Korea. A pupil of David Cerone at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Ji Won then studied with Ida Kavafian, Shmuel Ashkenasi and Victor Dachenko at the Curtis Institute of Music, and with Donald Weilerstein and Soovin Kim at the New England Conservatory of Music. An assistant professor at the prestigious Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Jin Won plays on a 1710 Pietro Giovanni Guarneri, lent by the Beaksan Cultural Foundation & Stradivari Society.
