A prize winner at the 1993 Menuhin Competition, Igor Malinovsky is an accomplished soloist, concertmaster and educator. From 2002 to 2005, he was the first concertmaster of the Bavarian State Orchestra, later holding the same position with the Orchestra of the Komischen Oper Berlin and the Orchestra Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia. Igor is Professor of Violin at the Von Weber University of Music in Dresden and guest professor at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya. A student of Dora Schwarzberg, Gerhard Schulz and Zakhar Bron, he performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras in Europe and toured across the world. Igor plays on a 1826 Giovanni Francesco Pressenda.
