Hye-Jin Kim is a renowned soloist, chamber musician and educator. A Curtis Institute and New England Conservatory graduate, Hye-Jin studied with with Jaime Laredo and Ida Kavafian and won First Prize at the 2004 Menuhin Competition after being a prize winner in the 2000 edition. She is Associate Professor of Violin at East Carolina University and a faculty member at Bard College Conservatory of Music. As a soloist, she performed in prestigious venues globally, including the U.N. Headquarters in both Geneva and New York, and as a chamber musician she appeared in notable festivals in the US, Europe and Asia. Hye-Jin plays on a 1687 Gioffredo Cappa.
