Fumiaki Miura, Second Prize winner at the 2006 Menuhin Competition, is an accomplished and sought-after soloist. He played under the baton of conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Gustavo Dudamel, Pinchas Zukerman, Krzysztof Penderecki and more. A student of Tsugio Tokunaga in Tokyo, Fumiaki furthered his studies in Vienna with Pavel Vernikov and Julian Rachlin, and is mentored by Pinchas Zukerman. He has been artistic director of Suntory Hall ARK Classics since 2018 and recorded for Sony Japan and Avex-Classics. Fumiaki performs on the Guarneri del Gesu 1732 violin “Kaston” kindly loaned by Crystco Inc.
