Esther Kim

A prize winner at the 2004 Menuhin Competition and recipient of the Chairman's Special Prize at the 2002 Menuhin Competition, Esther Kim plays with the London Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and on trial for Principal First Violin with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, First Violin for Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Tutti for London Symphony Orchestra. Esther graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with David Takeno and continued her studies with Sir Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, and Michael Tilson Thomas under the LSO String Experience Scheme, before taking on further mentorship from So-Ock Kim and Mark Messenger.
