Daniel Khalikov is a violinist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, having been a member since 2008. A third generation player, Daniel studied with Nathan Mendelssohn, Rafael Druian, Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman, and was a prize winner at the 1995 and 2004 Menuhin Competitions - also winning the Composer's Prize in the latter occasion. Enjoying great success with the Met, Daniel has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Turkey, Kazakhstan and his homeland Uzbekistan. He also performs across the United States as a chamber musician. Daniel plays on a 1804 Françoise Pique violin.
