Kiev-born Alina Komissarova is the concertmaster for the OLES orchestra in Lecce, Italy, and former concertmaster of the Royal Danish Opera. A student of Yaroslava Rivniak and Bohodar Kotorovich and Second Prize winner at the 1993 Menuhin Competition, Alina was invited to the Yehudi Menuhin School, where she furthered her studies with Alberto Lysy, Zakhar Bron, Igor Oistrakh, Walter Levin, Mee-Kyung Lee, Jeremy Menuhin and Radu Aldulescu. Alina performs as a soloist and chamber musician on European stages, and collaborates with composers such as Kanding and Mogensen. She plays on a 1914 Ettore Soffritti violin from Ferrara.
