A Third Prize winner at the 2012 Menuhin Competition, Alexi Kenney is a boundary-pushing soloist who is equally involved with the classical repertoire and with new expressive forms. His Shifting Ground project juxtaposes Bach with modern pieces and new commissions by composers Salina Fisher and Angélica Negrón. As a performer, Alexi has appeared with major orchestras in the United States and Switzerland, and has made debuts at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. A student of Miriam Fried and Donald Weilerstein, Alexi has previously been mentored by Wei He, Jenny Rudin, and Natasha Fong.
