Talent Development Fund - We need your help!

With your donation the Menuhin Competition will be able to expand the support we offer gifted young musicians in the months and years following the competition.

The Menuhin Competition is a charity with a clear mission: To nurture and develop some of the world’s most talented young violinists. You can help our work by contributing to our Talent Development Fund.

With this fund we facilitate international concert and festival performances for our prize winners or provide travel grants to attend international masterclasses.

It was Yehudi Menuhin’s vision that every talented musician should have opportunities to develop their career regardless of their financial background. You can help us expanding our work with this vision at heart. Donate now!

"Our young gifted violinists will be the ambassadors of goodwill, for they come with pure hearts and music in their souls. It is in these young people that we invest our future."

Yehudi Menuhin

In the last two years the fund enabled the following activities:

  • Bringing four prize winners to a week of Masterclasses at Kronberg Academy, Germany
  • Bringing 1st Prize winner Kerson Leong to a recital in London
  • Providing travel grants to prize winners to enable a European Festival Tours including performances in at the Rheingau Festival and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Music Festival in Germany, the Menuhin Festival in Switzerland, the Oslo Chambermusic Festival in Norway and the Cheltenham Festival in England
  • Organising a festival recital tour with works by Ole Bull for Callum Smart, prize winner of the 2010 Competition

We want to give our prize winners the best possible support to develop their talent. You can help us with that.
