Senior competitors reaching the Second Stage but not going forward to the Finals will receive £200 each.

Concerts & Opportunities for Prize Winners

Prize winners will be offered concert opportunities and courses including:

• A concert with the Tromsø Chamber Orchestra at the Arts Festival of North Norway on 23 June 2012
• A concert with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London on 14 February 2013
• A concert at the Musikfestival Mecklenburg Vorpommern in Germany in 2013
• A recital at the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad/Switzerland
• A concert with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the Konzerthaus Vienna
• Concert opportunities in Beijing and China
• Concerto performance or solo recital organised by the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) in the 2012-2013 concert season.
• Four prize winners will be offered participation in the Kronberg Violin Masterclasses 2013.
• The 2012 Morningside Music Bridge Young Artist Award, a scholarship to attend the Morningside Music Bridge in Calgary in July 2012, will be given to a competitor aged 18 years or younger.
• The winner of the EMCY Prize and four other prize winners will be offered online profiles and promotion by EMCY for a two-year period after the competition.
