Menuhin Competition 2010 is now open for applications


Ole Bull

The next Menuhin Competition will take place in Oslo/Norway from 16 to 25 April 2010. It will also be a celebration of the 200th anniversary of Norway's great violinist Ole Bull.

The competition is now open for applications. Information about application requirements and repertoire can be found here. Application deadline is 31 October 2009.

This year's jury will be an exciting mix of high profile international soloists who will not only judge but play in concerts and give masterclasses. The events programme will be published later this year, but we can already promise that it will be worth a visit to Oslo.

The Menuhin Competition 2010 will be hosted by five of the leading Norwegian Music Organisations - the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra , the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Barratt Due Institute, the Oslo Opera House and the Norsk Kulturskoleråd.
