An exceptional atmosphere of learning and exchange

Taking part in the Menuhin Competition is often the first experience of an international competition for our young contestants. Making this experience enjoyable and memorable is our mission. In memory of Yehudi Menuhin’s spirit every candidate is invited to stay throughout the entire competition, to make the most of the multitude of activities and performances made available to them and to forge friendships with fellow musicians.

Putting outstanding talent into the limelight

The Menuhin Competition has an impressive track record of counting some of the world's most gifted violinists among its participants and prize winners. Since 1983, many have gone on to major international careers, for example: Tasmin Little, Isabelle van Keulen, Nikolaj Znaider, Ilya Gringolts, Julia Fischer, Daishin Kashimoto, Feng Ning and more recently Ray Chen, Chad Hoopes, Callum Smart and Kerson Leong.
