MASTERCLASSES 10.00-11.30 in Kammersalen, BDM:
Performance and interpretation”

Monday 19.4:
Jazz trumpet player Palle Mikkelborg gives a clinic in cooperation with the wind and brass departments of NMH/BDM.

My musical journey has been self-taught ... My "guardian angel" has generously guided me in my search for my "voice", and on the journey honored me with warm, beautiful and powerful meetings with musicians and music from virtually all genres, and with virtually all "the colors of the pallet."

Naturally, I have also experienced - as it is wisely said - that the pendulum of art swings mightily between feelings of inferiority and illusions of grandeur ... darkness and light ... and so one can ask whether it was worth it. Well, it was and it is! I've never had any mission with my music, but I nevertheless have, to the best of my abilities, tried to live up to the monk's words:  "It is better to light one small candle than to curse the vast darkness." Palle Mikkelborg Feb.2010

This will also be reflected in this master class where the focus will be on Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and Brahms. Jeremy is a sought after chamber musician with leading soloists and ensembles. He is also artistic director of the”International Menuhin Music Academy” in Switzerland.
