Eleven international violin virtuosos play a selection of works for solo
violin and violin and piano by J.S. Bach, Mozart, Paganini and Kreisler. Violin
competitions are designed to test the various facets and skills of a player, and
to find and foster rounded musical personalities. The repertoire of the Senior
1st Round is chosen to show virtuosity, technique, stylistic versatility and
imagination.
